The sky's the limit

STILLWATER — What if forecasters could “hear” a tornado an hour before it forms or firefighters could see what dangers lie on the other side of a wildfire?
“It would increase their capabilities and help them save lives,” said Jamey Jacob, director of the Unmanned Systems Research Institute at Oklahoma State University.
Saving lives — or the first steps to that end — is all in a days' work for researchers at the institute.
