Positions Available

Open positions may be available from time to time for graduate students in the Solid & Structural Dynamics Lab (SSDL) on research projects aimed at enhancing the dynamic performance of engineering structures and systems through novel confluences of designs, materials, and processes.  Specific focus areas currently are acoustic metamaterials, low-frequency acoustic liner composites, adaptive/ multifunctional/ stimuli-responsive structures, and high strain-rate behavior of materials.  The research has a significant (but not exclusively) experimental component alongside analytical and numerical investigations with some involvement also in new product development.
